Privacy Policy

Overview

Twitch2TikTok ("the App") is a personal-use application operated by the app owner ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and how it is stored. The App is run locally by its owner and is not offered as a public multi-tenant service.

Information we access

• Twitch data: Public clip metadata (titles, view counts, clip URLs) retrieved through the Twitch API using an app access token.
• TikTok account authorization: If the account owner connects a TikTok account, TikTok issues an access token, refresh token, and basic profile identifier (Open ID) scoped to the permissions granted, such as posting video content on the user's behalf.
• Video content: Twitch clips are downloaded and processed locally to create a formatted vertical video for potential TikTok publishing.

How information is used

• Twitch clip data is used only to display candidate clips for local review.
• TikTok authorization tokens are used only to publish clips that the account owner has explicitly reviewed and approved.
• No data collected by the App is sold, rented, or shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

Data storage

All data, including downloaded clips, processing metadata, and TikTok authorization tokens, is stored locally on the device running the App. Tokens are stored using the operating system's user-scoped environment configuration and are not transmitted to any third-party server other than Twitch's and TikTok's official APIs required to perform the requested actions.

Third-party services

The App communicates with the following third-party services strictly to perform its stated function:

• Twitch API — to retrieve public clip data.
• TikTok API — to authorize and publish content on behalf of the authorizing user, when explicitly connected.
• Slack (optional) — if configured by the owner, to receive private operational notifications about upload success or failure. This is optional and controlled entirely by the App owner.

Data retention and deletion

Locally stored clips and records can be deleted at any time directly from the App. Revoking TikTok authorization can be done at any time from the TikTok account's connected-apps settings, which immediately invalidates the stored tokens.

Children's privacy

This App is not directed at children and does not knowingly process data belonging to children.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in functionality or applicable requirements. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
